BarrelLogic, Inc. ("we") warrants the BarrelLogic sensor hardware products ("Hardware") against defects in materials and workmanship as described below.

Batteries are consumable and carry a separate 180-day warranty. CR2477 coin cells in Smart Bungs are rated for one vintage (~365 days) under typical use; replacement is the owner's responsibility after the 180-day warranty period.
What the warranty covers
During the warranty period, we will — at our discretion — repair, replace, or refund the purchase price of Hardware that fails due to a manufacturing defect.
"Manufacturing defect" means a fault in materials or workmanship that causes the device to fail to perform substantially in accordance with its documented specifications when used as directed.
What the warranty does not cover
- Damage caused by misuse, accident, or unauthorised modification.
- Damage from liquids beyond the device's documented rating (IP-rated products: see datasheet).
- Cosmetic wear (scratches, dents) that does not affect function.
- Consumable items (batteries, seals, ferrules).
- Loss or theft.
- Firmware modifications made outside our OTA update channel.
- Failures caused by non-standard network or mounting setups that ignore the installation guide.
Remedy process
- Contact hardware@barrellogic.com with the device serial number, a description of the issue, and photos if relevant. Or open a ticket from Settings → Hardware → [device] → "Report issue" in the app.
- We will troubleshoot remotely. Most issues are resolved via firmware update, reboot, or configuration change.
- If the device is confirmed defective, we will ship a replacement and a return label for the failed unit. Leased hardware is always replaced in-kind; purchased hardware may be repaired if the defect permits.
- Expected turnaround: 3-7 business days within the contiguous US; 7-14 business days to Europe and Australia.
Lease-specific terms
Leased Hardware (e.g. BL-HUB-01 at $40/mo) remains the property of BarrelLogic. During the lease:
- We provide replacement for manufacturing defects without charge.
- Lost or damaged leased Hardware is billed at the full purchase price of the same SKU.
- At lease termination, Customer returns the Hardware within 30 days. We provide a prepaid return label.
Out-of-warranty service
After the warranty period expires, we offer paid repair service. Rates are published at barrellogic.com/hardware/support.
Warranty limitations and disclaimers
TO THE EXTENT PERMITTED BY APPLICABLE LAW, THIS WARRANTY IS THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE REMEDY FOR ANY DEFECT IN THE HARDWARE. BARRELLOGIC DISCLAIMS ALL OTHER WARRANTIES, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED.
NON-STATUTORY IMPLIED WARRANTIES, WHERE THEY CANNOT BE DISCLAIMED UNDER LOCAL LAW (E.G. CALIFORNIA CONSUMER WARRANTY, UK CONSUMER RIGHTS ACT, AU AUSTRALIAN CONSUMER LAW, EU DIRECTIVE 2019/771), REMAIN IN EFFECT FOR THE PERIOD AND ON THE TERMS REQUIRED BY THAT LAW.
Consumer rights (non-excludable)
This warranty supplements — it does not replace — any non-excludable consumer rights you may have under applicable law. Nothing in this warranty limits those rights.
- EU / EEA: You benefit from a 2-year legal guarantee of conformity per Directive 2019/771. The BL-BUNG/CLAMP/FLOAT/VINE/LORA 1-year commercial warranty does not displace that legal guarantee.
- UK: Consumer Rights Act 2015 applies.
- Australia: Australian Consumer Law applies. "Our goods come with guarantees that cannot be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law."
- California: Song-Beverly Consumer Warranty Act applies.
Returns (other than under warranty)
Unopened Hardware may be returned for a full refund within 30 days of delivery. Opened Hardware that has been deployed into a winery is not returnable for refund but remains covered by this warranty.
